Planets in astrology

The planets are the characters of the natal chart. Each one governs a particular function of the psyche: the Sun the will and the sense of self, the Moon the feelings, Mercury the mind, and so on out to distant Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, which describe the transpersonal and the generational. A planet's sign shows how it expresses itself, and its house shows in which area of life.

In astrology, the Sun and the Moon are counted among the planets and called the luminaries. Choose a planet below to read its meaning and its role in the chart.
