Astrology houses
The twelve houses are the areas of life into which the natal chart is divided, from identity and money to career and the unconscious. If the planets answer "what" and the signs answer "how," then the houses answer "where": in which area of life a planet's action unfolds. The houses are counted from the Ascendant, moving counterclockwise around the chart.
Each house has a natural sign and ruler that set its general meaning, though in an individual chart any sign can fall on a given house. Choose a house below to read what it governs.
